SUMMER SCHOOL 2017

Together we will explore dance! versitility is the key in dance so we will dive in to each style regardless of ability and skill! Its by doing this we ignite our passion for dance and sometimes in a new unexpected area! ....let our amazing teachers inspire them.

What to expect?

FUN! from 9-3 we will have classes, activities and mini events Monday to Friday.

Some of the things planned include: group trip to the movies to see the new dance movie 'Ballerina'
Disco time! Be Fierce - performance class, Be ontop! - goal setting and organisation workshop, Be Creative - improv class, Be Powered - nutrition, Be strong - bootcamp! and so much more!

Cost

Day by Day $70
Per class $20 or 5 classes for $80

Whole Corse VIP Special $300 (pay before January 10) thereafter, $350

Stage Craft Classes

What a wonderful oppertunity for anyone wanting to meet the legandary Sir Jon Trimmer, these classes are such fun and really do help explain the art of dance mime!

Stage Make up

The first time I ever met Sir Jon was at a stage make up workshop I was 12 and I still remember trying to apply liquid eyeliner while my hand shock because I was in shock Sir Jon spoke to me!

He is such a kind person with such humour this class really is a must!

Brooke Parsons

Brooke is a professional dancer who has spent the last 10 years performing in the United States, Europe, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Brooke's career begun with Maureen Ax in Palmerston North, from 18 she then crafted her dance career in Australia.Starting her training at The Edge performers school & agency in Melbourne, then later at Patrick Studios Australia.
She was Singer/Dancer with reputable cruise company P&O (Australia), then contracted as a Dancer on Princess Cruises (USA) where she was able to dance and travel the world at the same time.Brooke has worked extensively in the commercial dance scene in Australia including a 15,000-seated Countdown Arena Spectacular, Big day out, Hairspray movie premiere and was in the top 100 in Australia's first season of 'So You Think You Can Dance'. She has also been involved in many high profile promotional events including Cirque Du Soleil, Lego, Disney, AFL, Qantas Wallabies, ABC, The Wiggles, Visa, Vodafone and Commonwealth games.Brooke has worked in the film and TV industry on Home & Away, Neighbours, Sunday Night, Wonderland, Power Games, Rake & numerous TVC's for Jim Beam, Vodafone, OPSM and Rydge's.Having performed on Sunset Boulevard 'Carnival Choreographers Ball' in Los Angeles, she also spent seven months in Malaysia's Resorts World Genting casino stage spectacular being promoted to Dance Captain.She has performed in New Zealand-based musicals including 'Chicago', 'Rocky Horror PictureShow', 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat' and Australian-based musicals - Jerry Herman's 'Milk & Honey' and in Hugh Jackman's 'The Boy from Oz' at the Rod Laver Arena.Brooke is an accomplished dance teacher and currently freelances as a specialised dance tutor/ adjudicator in the New Zealand dance scene.
She has been a guest tutor/ choreographer/ examiner at Whitireia in Wellington for numerous years, judge for DanceNZmade. Dance tutor for National Youth Drama School. Currently dance lecturer on UCOL's Performing Arts course/ teacher at Danceworks and Director of Ignite Dance Hub.
